Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Mindful AI (the "Service"). By signing in you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. The Service
Mindful AI is a personal expense tracker. You log expenses in natural language; the Service stores them and answers questions about your spending. The Service is provided as-is and is currently a v1 / beta-stage product. Features may change, break, or be removed.
2. Eligibility and account
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a contract.
- You sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping your Google account secure.
- One account per person. Don't share your account.
- You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
3. Your data, your responsibility
- You own the expense data you enter. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display it solely to provide the Service to you.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your data. The Service is not a bookkeeping tool, not a financial advisor, and is not a substitute for professional tax, accounting, or financial advice.
- Keep your own backups if the data matters to you. We do not guarantee backups or restoration.
4. AI features and accuracy
- The Service uses AI to parse your messages and compose explanatory text. AI can misclassify, misread amounts, or misinterpret intent.
- Numerical totals in chat replies are computed from the database, not invented by AI — but the prose around them may still be imprecise.
- Always review parsed expenses. You are responsible for correcting mistakes via the Transactions screen.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including laundering funds or evading tax.
- Attempt to access another user's data.
- Probe, scan, reverse-engineer, scrape, or attack the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use automated means to submit large volumes of requests, abuse the AI parser, or otherwise impose disproportionate load.
- Submit content that violates intellectual-property rights, is defamatory, or contains malware.
- Resell, redistribute, or expose the Service to third parties as your own product.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
6. Currency and scope
The Service supports Indian Rupees (INR) only in v1. It is not a multi-currency tool, does not perform FX, and does not connect to bank accounts. Don't rely on it for anything it doesn't claim to do.
7. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties — most notably Google (sign-in) and Cloudflare (hosting, AI, database, vector store). Their terms and outages apply. We are not liable for failures, downtime, or changes in those services.
8. Fees
The Service is currently free to use. We may introduce paid tiers in future; if we do, we'll give you reasonable advance notice and you'll be able to keep using whatever you've already entered (or export it) before any paid feature is required.
9. Termination
- By you: stop using the Service and email hello@mindful.fyi to delete your account.
- By us: we may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we shut down the Service entirely, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and a window to export your data.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that AI outputs or financial totals are error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mindful AI and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; lost profits; lost data; or financial decisions you made in reliance on the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to INR 1,000 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Mindful AI harmless from any claim arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
